Music lessons offered at Rainbow Music Company are designed to make the student comfortable and successful. Whether you want to learn to read music or play by ear, we strive to make the experience enjoyable and free from stress. Each student is given individual attention and the pace goes as fast or slow as the student is comfortable with.

Rob as a Music Teacher

Rob Bonner has well over 30 years of teaching experience. He is comfortable teaching all styles and all ages from beginning to advanced. The styles he teaches include folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues, rock, classical…and a dash of flamenco.

Along with teaching privately at Rainbow Music Company for 30 yrs., he has been the guitar teacher at Sierra College in Rocklin for 25.yrs. and the Nevada County campus since it opened. His classes are some of the most popular with students on campus.

Upcoming this fall, we will be offering some of Rob’s latest music books for purchase consisting of duets and solo arrangements for guitar accompanied by a compact disc or available online in a MP3 file. New tunes will be added regularly.
